Is Online Casino Gambling Anti Social Behavior ?

Online casino gambling does not have to be an anti social experience. Players have the option when playing in multi player games like casino table games to use their webcams and microphones so players can see and talk to each other.

If you are playing at single player games like the slots and video poker then you will still be playing with your self. These games do not have an option to talk to others while you are playing, but that still does not mean you have to be anti social while playing these games.

When you are playing in an online casino, chances are you are playing from home, and can be chatting on an instant messenger or having a video chat with someone at the same time you have the casino open and are gambling. This would mean that you are not being anti social at all; you may be talking to people who are gambling at other casino games in different online casinos or just talking to a pal who is not gambling.

Many people have the wrong definition of anti social, they believe it to be someone who keeps himself physically separated from society and others, but what it really is, is a disassociation from others. You can site in a casino with dozens of other people around you but if you do not interact with them you are being anti social.

The best example is at the office. We all have friends at the office that we talk to over coffee and take breaks with that normally outside the office we would not be friends with these people, an anti social person will have work related interactions with them and take breaks alone.

This self isolation, this lack of interaction with others on a social level is anti social behavior and at one time or another we all display some anti social behavior, but that does not make us anti social based on these occasional times of desired alone time.

So I have to answer the question of Is Online Casino Gambling Anti Social Behavior by saying no, in and of itself online casino gambling is not anti social at all unless the player wants it to be. Anything can be anti social if you want it to be.

Online casino gambling is just as much of a social thing as going to a bar or a land based casino is. If you choose to be social you can talk to all sorts of people, while at the same time you can choose to also be as anti social as you want to be. it is not the activity that makes it anti social it is the person doing the activity that determines how social an experience it will be.

In many circumstances online gambling may be more of a social experience then at a land based casino. Many people are too shy to met new people, but behind the safety and anonymity of a computer these types can relax and this separation allows them to actually talk to others and interact in ways these people never could have before the internet.
