US Open Betting Odds - Andy Murray Expected to Meet Roger Federer in Final
Andy Murray's recent form has made him the 3/1 second betting favourite with Paddy Power to lift the US Open Trophy. Murray is the best hard court
player of the season but Roger Federer's recent win and past record makes him the 2/1 betting favourite just squeezing Murray out of top spot for the
win at Flushing Meadows.
After the draw failed to dampen the hype of a British Grand Slam winner, a mouth watering match against Roger Federer is
the bookmakers 9/4 favourite for the final in two weeks time.
Roberto Coladangelo spokesman for Paddy Power said: "Murray’s form has
whipped British tennis fans into another frenzy ahead of the US Open. If he continues to play as he has been then another final against Roger looks on
the cards. We think he is looking so good we also think he is going to give some of his early opponents a beating, picking up a few 6-0 nil sets along
the way."
Murray is also tipped to emulate the 6-0 favoured scoreline in the Premier League, he is at betting odds of 5/4 to have the most
bagels in the tournament.
In the women's singles Kim Clijsters is the 10/3 betting favourite ahead of Maria Sharapova at 4/1.
