Liverpool FC looks set for a pre-season takeover but with two parties claiming to be on the brink of a deal, a bookie's takeover betting on the football club continues to swerve in more directions than a Jabulani ball.

Kenny Huang is the Evens betting favourite to wrestle control from Tom Hicks and George Gillett with former Syrian international Yahya Kirdi's consortium just behind at odds of 5/4.
