Premier League Betting Odds - Will Fernando Torres Remain at Liverpool FC?

World Champion and Liverpool striking star Fernando Torres has been cut to betting odds of 1/4, from 2/5, to begin the new Premier League season at Anfield.

The odds on the Spanish player remaining with Liverpool have tumbled following hints by captain Steven Gerrard that he plans to stay with the Reds and the capture of Joe Cole from Chelsea.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: "If Torres was nearing the Anfield exit the arrival of Cole and the clearest hint yet from Gerrard could be deciding factors."

On the other hand, Torres is at betting odds of 11/4, from 7/4 previously, to quit the club. Joe Cole is at odds of 2/1 to score against Chelsea this season after signing for Liverpool.

Ladbrokes offer 25/1 about the ex-Stamford Bridge hero landing the PFA player of the year award.
