England coach Fabio Capello has shortened to betting odds of 1/2 with bookmaker Ladbrokes to still be in charge of the Three Lions for the start of the Euro 2012 qualification round.

The Italian has been eased to 6/4 - from odds of 5/4 - to have moved on from Soho Square following his bullish Rustenberg Press Conference after England's biggest World Cup desaster.

And despite calls for a mid-season break, the bookmakers have all but ruled out an introduction during the 2011/2012 Premiership season. It is 10/1 that a break is introduced and 1/40 that no changes take place.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "Capello seems intent on clinging on to his mega salary at the FA. And with arguments raging for goalline technology and mid-season breaks we don't think either are on the horizon."

Harry Redknapp is at betting odds of 3/1 - from 7/2 - to replace Capello as England boss after confirming his interest in the post should it become available.
