Horse Racing Betting - Lucky Kerry Punter Scoops €280,000 for €35 Bet
It was a fantastic Friday for one lucky Paddy Power punter who clicked the bet of a lifetime when all six of his horses romped home turning a total
stake of €35.20 into €280,082.15.
His win consisted of two different bets on the same six horses. He firstly did a 20c each way
'lucky 63' which consists of 63 bets covering all combinations of the winning horses – this paid out €36,141.30.
The real bonanza came
through a €5 each way accumulator bet which saw an initial stake of €5 placed on the first horse, Waterloo Dock at 1.20, the winnings from
this were rolled on to Lastkingofscotland at 2.25, when he won everything was rolled on to Azlak in the 3.00.
Then Raimond Bridge in the 3.35,
Sapphire Prince in the 4.45 and finally onto Honest Broker who scraped home by just a head in the 5.15 scooping a life changing
€280,082.15.
The cute punter from Kerry placed his bet via the website of Paddy Power on Friday morning, thought nothing more of it and
did not even bother to watch the races! He has vowed to play it up during Cheltenham.
It could turn out to be an expensive week for the
bookmaker who has pledged to refund losing bets on the first race at Cheltenham, the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, on Tuesday week if Irish banker Dunguib wins.
