Champions League Betting - David Beckham Could Make Some Fans Happy
David Beckham is at betting odds of 5/1 to score for AC Milan against Manchester United as he lines up against his former club for the first time on
Tuesday.
And to mark the occasion bookmaker Paddy Power will refund losing bets on the correct score, first/last scorer and scorecasts if Becks
scores a goal against his boyhood team on Tuesday.
Paddy Power are offering betting odds of 16/1 Beckham scores
with a trademark free kick in the first leg and 33/1 he sees red whilst its 40/1 Becks scores in both legs of the tie.
Across the two legs
Beckham is also at odds of 100/1 to score from inside his own half and 250/1 to kick a football boot at former mentor Sir Alex Ferguson. The bookie is
also speculating on which former team mate Beckham swaps shirts with at the end of the San Siro game.
With early favourite Ryan Giggs now out
of the running with a broken arm England team mate Wayne Rooney is 5/1 betting favourite to get the Beckham number 32 Milan shirt although
Beckham’s best friend at Old Traffford, Gary Neville, is a 14/1 outsider.
England clubs are not in as much favour to dominate the
competition as much as they have in previous years with a Spanish club betting favourite to win the competition this year at 21/20 compared to 7/5 for
an English club. Champions Barcelona are 3/1 favourites to defend their trophy with Chelsea the Premier League front-runners at betting odds of 9/2.
