Premier League Betting - Roberto Mancini May Not Endure at Manchester City

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power is not backing new coach Roberto Mancini for a long stay at Manchester City following his appointment last weekend.

With Man City's owners giving Mark Hughes the bullet despite apparently being on course to meet agreed targets Mancini is just 6/4 to have left the club by the end of 2010 and 3/1 he exits before the end of this season.

Despite having officially only been in the job for less than 72 hours Mancini does not look as though he will have much of a honeymoon period from his impatient bosses having been installed as 12/1 fifth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.

But despite Hughes statistically being City's most successful manager in the last 35 years with a win ratio of 47% Paddy Power offer odds of just 4/11 that City's financial muscle will help Mancini to a better record than his predecessor when he eventually moves on from Eastlands.

With six City players already making their feelings known to the City hierarchy Paddy Power are betting who will be the first shipped out by the new manager. Temperamental Brazilian Robinho is the 13/8 favourite with Hughes loyalists Craig Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz at odds of 9/2 and 8/1, respectively.

Elsewhere though there are plenty of managers enjoying good form who will be battling it out for December's manager of the month. Birmingham City's Alex McLeish is the current favourite at betting odds of 7/5 after three wins and a draw in the month so far.
