Mini me star Verne Troyer is the 1/3 red hot favourite with Paddy Power to win what could be the last ever Celebrity Big Brother.

The bookmaker is offering odds of just 6/4 that Celebrity Big Brother will not make a return to our TV screens next year following further complaints to the broadcaster over Hollywood star Verne Troyer French kissing a baby doll.

Celebrity Big Brother was dogged by controversy in 2007 when reality star Jade Goody, ex-S Clubber Jo O'Meara and glamour model Danielle Lloyd were accused of bullying Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, and since then the programme has been under severe scrutiny.

TV ratings are also suffering with the bookmaker expecting only €3 million to tune into tonight's final – a far cry from the 7 million or so that tuned in to previous years.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: "Verne could be the last man standing in more ways than one if CBB gets scrapped. It’s no secret that the show is not enjoying the same success it once did and this is also being reflected in the betting."

"Just half of what was wagered in 2006 has been placed on this year’s show making it one of the worst years on record from a betting point of view", McHugh continued.

The Irish betting outfit, that does not accept customers from the United States at this time, offers a variety of betting markets and also signup bonuses.
